I am a Spencer native and Hope Youth alum! I attended South Dakota State University (GO JACKS!) to pursue Early Childhood and Elementary Education, then taught middle school in Sioux Falls, SD and kindergarten in North Liberty, IA before moving home to Spencer where God opened the door for me to step into ministry here at Hope! I love how God has allowed me to use my "teacher skills" to now teach our Hope Kids about the greatest news ever -- The Gospel! My husband, Cam, and I have two amazing kiddos, Remington and Beckett, and the "goodest" Golden Retriever, Rhett. We are passionate about living out God's call in James 1:27 "to love the orphan" through foster care. We also just love to be outside enjoying God's creation. Isaiah 55:8-9 has been a passage that The Lord has proven to be true throughout my life, and are words I continue to cling to when I don't understand things earth-side. God is sovereign and He always knows what is best!

I’ve moved more times than I want to count but God has always used the moves to deepen my relationship with Him. After spending my early childhood in Washington, I moved a few times and ended up in Wyoming for the rest of my schooling. Upon graduating from the University of Wyoming with a business degree, I moved to Arizona, Wyoming, and Montana before settling down in Idaho. Once in Idaho God called me into the Ministry first at a summer camp called Old Faithful Christian Camp, and then at Watersprings Church. Once at the church I met my now wife Abbey and we were married in the summer of 2023, before moving to Spencer in March of 2024. I enjoy any activity outside but especially hiking, fishing, and camping. Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails,” sums up my life and calling. I may make a lot of plans but God always uses them for His glory and His purpose.

I was born and raised in Des Moines, IA and grew up attending Meredith Drive Reformed Church. When I was about to enter high school, my family moved to Algona, IA where we attended Ramsey Reformed Church in Titonka, IA. After high school, I attended the University of Iowa where I received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Minor in Music. I started a career in the insurance industry and have worked in that industry since graduating from college. My wife, Kayla and I have one son, Noah and a 95 lb golden retriever named Wrigley. I have previously participated in the praise team for Meredith Drive Reformed Church and for Hope Church. I love praising the Lord and leading the congregation in worship. My favorite Bible verse comes from Psalm 100: “Shout to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.”

I was born and raised in Spencer, Iowa. God's plan for me was to take care of his children. On June 1st, 1992, I started my own in-home daycare. With the support of my husband, Matt and my children, Ashley and Tyler, I have continued doing so for over 30 years. If you can't find me in the church sanctuary, you’ll find me in my favorite place, the nursery. My life verse would be Isaiah 40:11. "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

I was born and raised in Waverly, Iowa. I attended the University of Northern Iowa where I met my husband, Craig. After graduation we moved to Spencer, and we joined Hope Church shortly after that. We have two grown children, Taylor and Jared. Acts of Service is one of my love languages, and as a result I have volunteered in Women’s, Youth, and Children’s Ministries here at Hope. I worked at a print shop for 22 years doing design work when God called me the Office Administrator position at Hope. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

I grew up in Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School before attending the University of Northern Iowa. After graduation, I moved back to the area to take a job at Community State Bank, where I still work as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Shortly after marrying my wife, Katie, we made the decision to join Hope Church because we heard so many wonderful things about the family and youth ministry. Since then, we have had three children: 2 daughters, Blake and Collins, and a son, Briggs. We participate in the children and family events and view Hope Church as our church family.

I asked Jesus into my heart when I was 3 years old. My grandfather baptized me when I was 10 (the same grandfather who baptized me as an infant). I was headed towards ministry until I lost everything at the age of 15 – my dad suffered a massive nervous breakdown that left him mentally incapacitated and my mom died from kidney failure. I was on my own as a young teen. I tried to drown the pain with substances and physical relationships. I then got kicked out of church. Around that time, I changed schools and found the theatre community. Through performance, I found an emotional outlet that was creative rather than destructive. That’s where I also where I met my future wife (Tena).
After graduating high school, I joined the Army to impress Tena’s family. We were married soon after I finished basic training.

I was born in Storm Lake Iowa and raised in a small-town called Alta. As a family we were brought up in the church. We bounced from different churches when I was a kid. It wasn’t until I was about 9 that we joined my uncle’s church. 1st Baptist Church in Gilmore City Iowa. I went to Wayne State college in Wayne Nebraska, Bethel University in St. Paul Minnesota, and Northwestern Christian College in Orange City Iowa. It was in Orange City where I extended the love I already had for a cappella music and sang in a group called Lighthouse. In the summer of 2000, I joined another singing group called The Continentals. We toured all over the US and overseas. From there I moved to California. It was there I joined an urban a cappella quartet and continued my love for singing. I moved back to Iowa

I was born and raised in Orange City, Iowa. The plan for my life was to be a hog farmer, but God had bigger plans and called me to youth ministry in 1996. I have been the Youth Pastor at Hope Church since 2008. My wife, Shantel, and I have been blessed with two daughters, Shayler and Kamdyn. My mission statement is to be an influencer for Jesus Christ. I believe in building relationships with others, and I love to encourage and inspire young people to have a personal relationship with Jesus and to walk with them as they discover and grow in their faith journey. My life verse is found in Ephesians 3:20. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work, within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

I was born and raised in the Milford and Estherville area. I have two older brothers, Pat and Mike. Mike lives in Spencer and Pat passed away in 2019. I am married to Michele (Hamrick) Yeager and she is employed by Northwest Bank Corp Office in the Accounting department. We have two grown children and one granddaughter. Jess and his wife, Jennie, and their daughter, Ashlyn, are in Spencer. Michael and his wife, Valeri, also live in Spencer. In my spare time I like to watch sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings or the Iowa State Cyclones.
